Lantana’s golf course opened in June 2002 and has become known for its outstanding greens and black, hole-like bunkers. This Jay and Carter Morrish design combines both wide-open and tree-lined holes to present a 7,100-yard parkland-style layout in the rolling hills southwest of Denton.
The course is beautiful, highlighted by 87 hazardous bunkers and extremely thick rough. Unlike other tracks that are loaded with bunkers, these are true hazards–very deep with soft sand and high faces. Because of the varying terrain, you’ll feel at times as though you’re playing two different courses. Some holes route through the meadow-like rolling hills, while others are more densely wooded and feature elevation changes.
The signature hole is the downhill 165-yard No. 15, which plays into an island green.
